We need to start creating neighborhoods that build authentic places that are intimately related, interconnected and interdependent.
Just as a farmer must tend each plant, those involved in cultivating urban terroir must tend to the needs of each resident.
Building a strong genius loci in a city or neighborhood begins by paying attention to the spirit of place already there.
