A couple of years, I had to opportunity to me with Chuck Marohn over lunch while he was visiting Vancouver BC for a speaking engagement at SFU. As you may know, Chuck the President of Strong Towns, a non-profit education and advocacy organization committed to creating durable, fiscally sustainable and desirable communities. I found Chuck to be an extremely interesting guy with a very important message, and became an enthusiastic supporter—and ultimately a member—of Strong Towns
Little did I know back then that Chuck had plans to expand the scope and scale of the organization and would be looking to hire new staff. When I learned of this opportunity, I jumped at the chance to work with Chuck and his team. It is a great opportunity to combine my passion for urbanism with my social media and community engagement skills.
My role at Strong Towns is to help the team out with doing social media, digital advertising and community building for the organization. I’m helping the organization expand our audience and encourage people to become members and advocates for the Strong Towns mission.
I urge you to check out the Strong Towns website, join us on Slack, listen to the podcast, and consider becoming a member. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by email.
