Last summer (July 2018), I was contacted by Anna Hope and
Jackson Moulding from Bristol UK. Anna and Jackson are part of Ecomotive, a workers’ co-operative in Bristol.
Anna and Jackson visited me with their two daughters during their stop in Vancouver as part of a North American trip to learn about community-led housing, including co-operatives. During their trip they met with several to meet people who live in various forms of community led housing and/or active in making change happen to make quality, community-focused homes more accessible to all.
During our visit, we spent a bit of time talking on camera. Part of this discussion is included in this video, starting at about 11:54.
We are exploring the range of homes created within a context for affordability, community and for environmental reasons…..or all three. Including tiny homes for the homeless, tiny house clusters, cooperatives, cohousing, community land trusts, floating homes, and the need to reimagine the village.
