The Vancouver Urbanist Meetup is starting the new year with a special guest! Greg Vann, a planner and urban designer from Brisbane is in town and will be joining us this month. Greg is the founder of Buckley Vann Planning, co-author of the Next Generation Planning Handbook, and a blogger. He “love[s] cities, cycling, coffee & where transport, land use & urban design meet.”
This month we’ll be meeting on Sunday, January 11th at Subeez Cafe/Restaurant/Bar at 891 Homer in Yaletown.
Topic of discussion may include hopes and aspirations for Vancouver in 2015, updates on what is going on in Australian urbanism, and–of course—the transportation referendum plebiscite.
As always, we will be there from 3 pm until at least 5 pm. Significant others, neighbours, colleagues and friends are encouraged. You can RSVP on Eventbrite or Facebook.
