Vancouver Urbanists Meetup: October 21st at the Tipper

October 17th, 2012

The Tipper Restaurant on KingswayAfter a brief delay, October’s Vancouver Urbanists Meetup is happening this Sunday October, 21st, from 3-5 pm.

This month, we’re continuing to explore different parts of town. We’ll be gathering at the Tipper Restaurant on Kingsway. The Tipper is a 50+ year old diner that has been recently restored to its mid-century glory. It is also a space for local music, art and community meetings.

As Yuri will be attending TEDxVancouver, this month’s meet-up will be co-hosted by Brian Gould and Neil Salmond. Brian  is a transportation planner, writer, and urban photographer and videoogrpaher. Neil is a local advocate for mid-rise mixed-use development and shared road space, he is always open submissions for the former and critiques of the latter!

The Tipper is located at 2066 Kingsway at Victoria (map).

As always, feel free to drop in when you can and stay as long as you want. The group will be there from 3 pm until at least 5 pm.
